The district of Buleleng is walled out by the sea of Bali on the north, Karangasem on the east and the districts of Jembrana, Tabanan and small areas of Badung and Bangli on the west and south.
For visitors who are nature-lovers, Buleleng provides joyful relief. This misty highland area harbors Water Falls and natural hot springs. Because of its distance, this area of Bali has kept its local traditions that allow the visitor experience hands-on.
There are several plantations to trek through, so make sure to bring a good pair of shoes.
Trek to the Waterfalls
The Balinese believe that 5 elements of nature make up the human body and crucial in cleansing the mind. These are: space, fire/sun, air, water, and solid material/earth. Enjoy nature’s energy and live healthier by coming in contact with water.

Lake Tamblingan
Tamblingan Lake and Mount Lesung are the nature-made symbol of Lingam Yoni and the source of living energy for North Bali.
After a stop at the lake, you may continue the tour to visit Kayu Putih Village, which has the archeological Sarcophagus which was kept in Duhur Temple, a temple at Kayu Putih Village.
Botanical Garden Tour
The Botanical Garden or Kebun Raya Eka Karya is a vast tropical garden located in the Bedugul hills. It has a collection of about 320 orchid species from all over Indonesia and more hundred species of plants from all over the world.
It is possible to hold a session for meditation at one of the Temples on the grounds.
Village Culture Tour
Go on a tour to visit several ancient animism villages in Bali, known as Bali Aga. Observe the famous Pedawa and Sidatapa Villages that are believed to have existed since Pre-Hindu times. The unique interest is the local architectures of homes and temples built with bamboo while observing traditional Balinese palm sugar production and bamboo-craft- the source of livelihood for many villagers.
